The Arctic WolfLives In The Canadian Arctic And Greenland. It’S A Smaller Sub-Species Of The Grey Wolf.
As Wolves Go, It’S Medium-Sized, Typically Weighing Around 45 To 70 Kilograms, Or 100 To 150 Pounds. Arctic Wolves Are Usually 1 To 1.8 Meters Long, Or 3.5 To 6 Feet, From Their Noses To The Tips Of Their Tails.
Artic Wolves Eat Moskox, Arctic Hares And Caribou. The Ground Is Always Frozen Where They Live, Making It Impossible To Dig A Den, So Arctic Wolves Live In Caves, Or Under Rocky Outcrops. Each Year The Mother Wolf Gives Birth To Two Or Three Pups.
Because They Are So Isolated, Arctic Wolves Are Relatively Unafraid Of People, And Can Often Be Coaxed To Come Very Close – Although Some Have Been Known To Try To Bite People Who Got A Little Too Close.
